There is a certain subculture among Americans particularly, that is hiighly intolerant of divergent opinions while pretending to have some higher moral stance: it is the so-called “woke” culture.
Often springing from Leftist idealogies, this woke culture seems to dominate social media and mainstream news, causing dvision and hatred among former friends. It is also the springboard from which Cancel Culture has erupted on the scene. Lord forbid you say “forbidden” words or question Covid science or cllmate change science or even act a little mean–you will be publicly hounded and have your career ruined if you dont follow the woke mob’s ideology.
While woke people are supposedly more enlightened than the rest of us, Let’s face it-wokeism is just an excuse to blame other people for your inadequacies and shortcomings, while breaking moral rules and even the law of the land sometimes–all excused by “‘I’ve been oppressed!”
Woke people are professional victims and everything bad which happens to them is always someone else’s fault. They do not conceive that they are in control of their destinies, so must label everything and everybody in a black and white way: good or evil, according to how they FEEL, rather than logic.
Here are some of the most annoying terms this culture uses to attack others, ad-nauseum.
“Narrative”
“Change the narrative.” “Control the narrative.” I dont believe woke people even know what the word narrative means because they overuse it so much.
“Systemic”
To the woke, everything bad is due to the system we live in–not recognizing that the bad comes from human nature and mistakes and that our system is currently the best way to protect us from bad human behavior — and the system also allows for self-correction.
“Privilege”
Oh lord–to the woke people, everyone is privileged if they have even the slightest hint of success. That’s probably why they love communism so much, because everyone will be equally broke and starving (unless you happen to work for The State.)
“Racist/Racism”
You know what? People naturally like others who are similar to them and who they have something in common with. And humans naturally distrust people who are too different, as there no basis for agreement. Its a natural thing. That being said, America’s system has protected and accomodated different races since it self-corrected many former injustices. Things can still be improved, but the woke people are just making things worse. Everything is racist and racism is everywhere, according to the woke.
“Woke”
The term itself is grammatically incorrect the way it is used. Instead of “I am woke,” the proper way is “I am awake” or “I have woken.” The woke can’t even speak proper english yet want to be respected by smart people.
To heck with woke culture.
