MANDY HARVEY UNVEILS HER “MASTERPIECE”

POWERFUL LYRIC VIDEO IN FULL AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) FEATURES SPECIAL GUEST CAMEOS

Rising singer-songwriter Mandy Harvey is picking up the pieces – and revealing her whole as a work of art – in brand-new independent single, “Masterpiece,” available now at all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

“‘Masterpiece’ is about embracing all of who you are, including the broken pieces, and understanding that all of life’s experiences – even the tough ones – made you who you are today. It’s a celebration of the journey,” shares Harvey, who co-penned “Masterpiece” with Billy Lefler and Simon Wilcox. “During these times, it can be hard to find a silver lining, but a beautiful one in my mind is that this journey we are on is making us stronger and that’s something worth celebrating.”

“There is much to celebrate in the life of Mandy Harvey,”praises People, with American Songwriter applauding, “And it’s this creative freedom that seems to ebb and flow in every powerful song that Harvey releases, but especially within the lyrical mastery of ‘Masterpiece.’”

The upbeat, Pop-fueled bop pumps straight positivity into Harvey’s adjoining lyric video, “as the world needs this message now, more than ever” (People). Dedicated to her ongoing commitment to serve as an advocate, the clip is fully accessible in ASL by performers Harvey, Warren “Wawa” SnipeShaheem, and Christopher Corsini. An inspiring collection of videos from everyday heroes including medical personnel, teachers, parents, and farmers, notable champions of the deaf and disabled community – “who have all dealt with their own challenges in their lives” (American Songwriter) – can also be spotted throughout the powerful footage. Harvey welcomes friends like Marlee MatlinErik WeihenmayerKyle Maynard, and Shoshannah Stern, among others, to unite and showcase how they’re a “Masterpiece.”

“My hope with this video and the song itself is to encourage people to look within themselves and realize just how special they are,” adds Harvey. “And a very special thanks to all of the amazing individuals who shared videos that showed just how beautiful and unique we are – just as we are. Each of us is a ‘Masterpiece.’”

Harvey lost her hearing at 18 years old as a result of a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She is “changing the world in a big way,” hails Fox News. Using both her talent and artistry to encourage others to “Try,” Harvey’s globally known for her uplifting performance of her original song “Try” on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, which earned her the “Golden Buzzer” by Simon Cowell in 2017.
