Chevrolets
Chevrolet is a big proponent of modern filmmaking, and over the last 50 years, it has become increasingly difficult to watch a film and not spot one of these vehicles. The most iconic one from the last two decades was the 1977 Chevrolet Camaro that could transform into a giant robot named Bumblebee, from the 2007 film Transformers. Bumblebee became so iconic that in 2018, it got its own titular movie. Other films with iconic Chevrolet cars include 1973’s American Graffiti and the many Fast & Furious films.
Fords
Fords are some of the most popular car brands used in Hollywood, and the most common model you’ll see is the Mustang. It has appeared in thousands of productions through the years, and for good reason. Mustangs are sleek and photogenic, and as a result, you can see these cars at the center of works such as 2014’s John Wick. One of the most famous car chases in film history appears in the 1968 film Bullitt, which starred a Ford Mustang.
Volkswagens
Volkswagen is another car brand you can frequently see in Hollywood works. The company makes a wide variety of good-looking vehicles, but one of their most iconic models, the Beetle, is what you’ll see most often. It had starring roles in 1968’s The Love Bug and 2005’s Herbie Fully Loaded, and another is even featured prominently in the aforementioned Bumblebee. Of course, there’s also the Volkswagen bus featured in Little Miss Sunshine in 2006 and the retro Karmann Ghia featured in the 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
